About Me.
Lyubomir Petrov, a distinguished name in the world of hairdressing, continues a legacy pioneered by his forebears. Born into a lineage of innovators, Lyubomir was influenced early by the trailblazing efforts of his grandmother, Lyubka Ivanova, a revered figure in the industry. Lyubka, a founder of the esteemed state enterprise Hygiena, was not only the personal hairdresser of Princess Evdokia but also a pioneer in introducing cold curling techniques to Bulgaria. Her expertise is immortalized in Sofia's Museum of Crafts.
Lyubomir's father, Evgeni Petrov, began his illustrious career at 16. Alongside contemporaries Todor Toshev and Nedyalko Nedyalkov, Evgeni was among the first graduates of the Hairdressing College. His career, marked by participation in international contests both as a competitor and judge, culminated in the formation of the KENT quartet, elevating Bulgaria's presence in global hairdressing forums.
Inspired by this rich heritage, Lyubomir embraced the art of hairdressing at 17. His initial foray into the field involved assisting his father at various seminars. This early exposure paved the way for his entry into the family business, where he honed his skills and deepened his understanding of the craft.
Lyubomir's talent soon found expression in the world of television, contributing to popular shows like 'Get Rich', 'Commercial Break', 'Deal or No Deal', 'The Chair', and 'Big Brother'. His expertise extended beyond the small screen, as evidenced by his involvement in over 300 commercials and styling for renowned magazine covers including 'Amica', 'Harper's Bazaar', and 'The Woman Today'.
His journey as a stylist-hairdresser reached a pinnacle with the television project 'Glass House' and continued with his significant role in the four seasons of the series 'Undercover'. Through these endeavors, Lyubomir Petrov has not only upheld a family tradition but has also carved a unique identity in the realm of hairdressing.
